Israel announces “limited” ground operations in southern Lebanon, Hezbollah denies

Lebanon’s Hezbollah denied Israeli reports indicating that an Israeli ground campaign had begun into Lebanese territory as part of a military campaign against the party.

The Israeli army continued to bomb the southern regions of Lebanon, areas in the southern suburbs of Beirut, and other cities and towns.

These strikes coincided with the launch of dozens of rockets from Lebanon into northern Israel in the early hours of the day. The party said the missiles were aimed at several areas around Tel Aviv, including the Glilot base of the Military Intelligence Unit, the Mossad headquarters, and the Dovev barracks, while Israel said a missile went into the Iron Dome system and was part of a larger blockade that was largely forbidden.
