Israel Announces Kills of Islamic Jihad Commander in Gaza

GAZA CITY, KOMPAS.com – Military Israel announced, they had killed the group commander Islamic Jihad (Islamic Jihad) in an attack on Gaza.

As the conflict entered its second week, the Gaza Ministry of Health said 198 Palestinians had died, including 58 children and 35 women.

However, they did not specify how many people died from Hamas or other Palestinian factions.

On Monday (17/5/2021), the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) announced that Hussam Abu Harbeed they managed to kill.

Harbeed is one of the senior Islamic Jihad commanders in the northern Gaza division, and has led attacks on both the IDF and the Israeli people in the past 15 years.

Reported Times of Israel via New York PostThe IDF said Harbeed was the mastermind behind anti-tank attacks targeting civilians.

According to military statements, he was responsible for attacks on the first day of the conflict which injured the community.

So far, both Islamic Jihad and its military wing, the al-Quds Brigades, have confirmed the IDF’s claims.

The conflict started on Monday last week (10/5/2021), when Hamas fired hundreds of rockets into Israeli territory.

The shooting was in response after Israeli police clashed with Palestinian mobs in Jerusalem the previous week.
