The Israeli military in Poland, together with the Ukrainians, are working on the introduction of an early warning system for missile attacks on the territory of our state.
This was stated by Israeli Foreign Minister Eli Cohen, RBC-Ukraine reports with reference to Ukrinform.
The Israeli warning system uses a combination of radar and optical devices to detect missile and drone launches.
Technologies identify object sizes and identify hazards. This data is then displayed on an electronic map. Citizens receive a warning on the phone or learn about the danger through radio, television or a siren.
“As we speak here, the Israeli and Ukrainian military are working together in Poland to implement our warning system that will save the lives of civilians in Ukraine,” Cohen said.
Earlier, Ukrainian Ambassador to Israel Yevgeny Korniychuk said that an Israeli early warning system for missile strikes was launched in Kyiv.
It is noted that the system in the capital identifies rockets and shells of all kinds and where they will fall in order to narrow the radius where residents may be in danger. It also calculates how long people in the area have to seek shelter.
