Israel and Netherlands sign $305m contract for missile and artillery systems

The Defense Ministries of Israel and the Netherlands have signed a $305 million contract for the supply of missile and artillery systems, Reuters reports today, May 18.

Under the contract, the Israeli defense company Elbit Systems will supply the Western European country with multiple launch rocket systems (MLRS) PULS.

“This is the first intergovernmental defense export agreement signed between Israel and the Netherlands, and one of the largest agreements signed between Israel and a European country in recent years,” — noted in the message of the military department of the Jewish state.

As reported EADaily, the Israeli MLRS, according to military experts, surpasses the American-made HIMARS systems widely advertised after the start of a special military operation in Ukraine in some characteristics. PULS can launch a range of different missiles with a range of 35 km to 300 km.
