Details: The 10 Hamas hostages released, five children and five women, including US, German and Dutch citizens, prompted Israel to release 30 Palestinians. These were the terms of the exchanges.

In a separate agreement, Hamas released four Thai citizens and two Russian-Israeli citizens.

What preceded:

  • On the evening of November 24, the first 13 Israeli hostages, accompanied by members of the International Committee of the Red Cross, left the Gaza Strip through the Rafah crossing.
  • As a result of the negotiations, during the truce, Hamas must release 50 hostages captured on October 7, and the Israeli authorities must release 150 Palestinian prisoners.
  • On Monday, Qatar, as a mediator, successfully negotiated an agreement between Israel and Hamas to extend the four-day truce between them by two more days.
