Iran accused Israel carrying out mass murder or genocide against the Palestinian people in Gaza. Until now, Israel continues to attack Gaza without stopping.
Summarized detikcom, Thursday (26/10/2023), Israel has carried out massive attacks in the Gaza Strip since the Hamas armed group invaded Israel and killed more than 1,400 people. Most of the dead were civilians.
Meanwhile, Gaza’s Hamas-controlled Ministry of Health said on Wednesday that more than 6,500 people had been killed in Gaza since the violence erupted. A total of 2,704 of the victims who died were children.
Iran then accused Israel of carrying out mass murder of the Palestinian people. What is being done Israel for Iran is a campaign of genocide against the Palestinian people.
“The Zionist regime’s (Israeli) attacks have reached an intensity that shows that its aim is the mass murder of the Palestinian people in Gaza,” wrote Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian in a letter addressed to the UN human rights chief, Volker Turk.
“The statements of Israeli officials and the widespread and systemic attacks… on the Gaza Strip show that this is a genocidal campaign against the Palestinian people,” Amir-Abdollahian said in his letter, which Iran’s Foreign Ministry shared on social media.
Earlier on Wednesday (25/10), Iran’s supreme leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei accused the United States of “directing” the attack Israel in Gaza.
“America is clearly an accomplice of criminals,” Khamenei said in a speech in Tehran.
“The United States in some ways directed the crimes committed in Gaza,” he added.
