Ensenada, BC- Monday, August 12, 2024.- The influence of the marine layer and the Mexican monsoon with a divergence in height, resulted in light and isolated rains since the early hours of this Monday in a large part of Ensenada and Baja California.
The director of the Municipal Coordination of Civil Protection, Julio César Obregón Angulo, reported that, based on the forecasts of the National Meteorological System, it is expected that this condition will dissipate by nightfall today.
However, he said that similar conditions could occur on Thursday, with cloudiness and the possibility of isolated showers.
Regarding temperatures, he indicated that in the coastal area and in the Guadalupe Valley region, mostly sunny days are expected with highs of 29 degrees and lows of 19 degrees Celsius.
In the Trinidad Valley region, he said, thunderstorms are expected for Monday afternoon and Thursday, with maximum temperatures of 37 degrees and minimum temperatures of 21 degrees Celsius.
“This week, the temperature will be slightly higher than forecast. However, next week, temperatures could exceed 33 degrees, so the population is urged to take extra care, especially with children and the elderly,” he stressed.
Julio Obregón urged the population to avoid unnecessary exposure to the sun; use sunscreen; stay well hydrated; and remain attentive to official reports issued as the week progresses.
