The Ismaili administration, headed by Ibrahim Othman, announced that the Brazilian Ricardo will lead the technical administration of the dervishes in the coming period, instead of the Frenchman Didier Gomez, who was deported due to bad results.
The Ismaili club’s board of directors had decided to dismiss its French coach Didier Gomez during the past few days, before Adham El Selahdar was temporarily appointed, and then the duo Mohamed Homs and Ahmed Al-Agouz took over.
According to the Ismaili official website, the technical staff of the team will consist of Ricardo, a technical director, Ahmed Al-Ajouz, general coach and acting director of football, Mohamed Homs, a coach, and Saafan Al-Sagheer, coach of goalkeepers.
The Brazilian coach is scheduled to attend the team’s match against Al-Ahly, which will be held today, Thursday, for the 26th round of the Egyptian WE League.
The 62-year-old coach leads the Ismaili in a third state, after he trained the dervishes in the 2008-2009 season before leaving for Al-Ahly Qatar, but he returned again in the 2014-2015 season to move to Al-Ahly Shendi in Sudan.
