(CercleFinance.com) – The growth of the tertiary sector in the United States continued in April, show the results of the monthly survey carried out among purchasing managers by the Institute for Supply Management (ISM) .
The ISM services index rose to 51.9 from 51.2 in March, in line with economists’ expectations, which represents a fourth consecutive month in the expansion zone of activity.
The new orders sub-index rose to 56.1, after 52.2 the previous month, while the employment component fell to 50.8, from 51.3 in March, while remaining in growth territory. .
The price paid measure increased to 59.6 from 59.5 last month.
