Islamic delegation to visit China first…seeking an exit from the Gaza war

The diplomatic delegation from the Islamic world, organized to find a way out of the war in Gaza, has begun its full-scale activities.

I am planning a tour of five UN Security Council countries, and I have chosen China as my first stop.

An Islamic diplomatic delegation arrived in Beijing.

These include the Palestinian Authority, diplomatic heads of four Muslim countries, and the Secretary-General of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC).

Foreign Minister Wang Yi welcomed the delegation at the Diaoyutai State Guesthouse and welcomed them all with his hands clasped together.

The roundtable said that 70% of Gaza residents are homeless and starving and urged the international community to take action.

The dispatch of the delegation was decided at the summit of the Arab League (AL) and the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) on the 11th.

I decided to tour the five permanent members of the UN Security Council, but I visited China before the United States.

It also happens to be the 35th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Palestine.

China, which has proposed Palestinian independence and a two-state solution, has also sent special envoys to the Middle East and claimed to play a mediating role.

However, last month’s attack by Hamas was increasingly seen as one-sided, with no condemnation.

Also, there is no visible diplomatic outcome with Iran, which is the biggest variable in the escalation of war and where the United States expects China to play a role.

In the end, it is difficult to expect more than a delicate balance, such as China putting its weight on the Arab world against the United States, which stands behind Israel.
