25-year-old man charged and jailed Tuesday 15 December 2020. He is suspected of raping a 79-year-old lady last June in Grenoble (Isere).
Already indicted for another sexual assault
The case dates back to June 20, 2020. A 79-year-old woman ascending towards the highest point of the Bastille in Grenoble (Isère) would have been raped and sexually assaulted at the threat of a knife.
A few months later, the traces of semen left by the attacker allowed the police to identify him, indicates the Public Prosecutor of Grenoble, Eric Vaillant. And it turns out that this 25 year old man was already under indictment for sexual assault under the threat of a knife in August 2020. Since then, he has been detained as part of an open investigation in Besançon (Doubs).
He was presented Tuesday, December 15 before an investigating judge. Which one decided to detained under a new warrant.
