Isere. 140 million euros from the State and the Region for the Grenoble Metropolis

The State and the Region presented the next State-Region Plan Contract (CPER) for the territory’s metropolises. 900 million euros will thus be invested to finance projects in the territories of the metropolises of Lyon, Saint-Étienne, Clermont-Ferrand and Grenoble. This metropolitan component will be presented to regional elected officials at the next plenary assembly, on March 9 and 10.

“A great message of hope”

The territorial component of the CPER, presented last October, had already made it possible to release 4.4 billion euros for the files of the other regional territories.

For the Metropolis of Lyon, the endowment is 506.41 million euros, with projects selected such as the renovation of the Vernaison bridge or the modernization of the greenhouses of the Tête d’or park in Lyon. For the Metropolis of Saint-Étienne, the envelope amounts to 126.77 million euros and that of Clermont-Ferrand, to 126.76 million euros.

For the Metropolis of Grenoble, 140.31 million euros will be released and one of the flagship projects will be the renovation of Alpexpo.

“As our country is going through an unprecedented crisis, this CPER is a tremendous message of hope. The State and the Region are investing record sums for our territories, our inhabitants and our jobs. More than 900 million euros will thus be invested in the projects of the metropolises of Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes to improve the living environment of the inhabitants, support economic activity, create jobs and prepare for the future”, delighted Laurent Wauquiez, President of the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes Region.
