A cold cyclone will bring cooling in many places in our country
In the last couple of weekends in February, cooling will begin with the influx of cold air from the north-northeast and the formation of another Mediterranean cyclone over the Adriatic Sea.

The sun will appear, but soon after that in the hours until the evening the clouds from west to east will increase and it will even rain lightly in isolated places in Western Bulgaria. In the mountain massifs the precipitation will be of insignificant amounts of snow. In the warmest part of the day the temperatures will be in the range from 7 to 12-13 degrees.
On Sunday it will be cloudy and windy over the whole country with a cold wind from the northeast. The daily values of the thermometers will be from 2-3 to about 7-8 degrees. During the day it will rain, with rainfall moving from southwest to northeast, covering the whole country by evening. In the west it will snow, in the east – first rain, which will turn into snow with lower temperatures.
The snowfall will continue during the night and on Monday, and will be exported to Central and Eastern Bulgaria. The wind will remain noticeably cold, and stronger gusts are expected in Ludogorie, where there will be conditions for gusts. Daily temperatures will drop a little more and will fluctuate between 0 and 5 degrees.
Rainfall on both days – Sunday and Monday – will be abundant with the accumulation of snow cover. Preliminary forecasts allow up to 10-15 centimeters of new snow in some areas in western and northern Bulgaria. In the mountains, however, the new snow cover could exceed 50 centimeters.
The cyclone is expected to be positioned with a center over the Black Sea on Tuesday and Wednesday, and its periphery to cover Central and Eastern Bulgaria. There will also be snowfall, as well as more noticeable gusts of wind. In the west the clouds will break, but it will remain cold with daily temperatures up to 7-8 degrees.
The weather will calm down around the national holiday March 3 on Thursday, when the clouds will break more visibly over the whole country, the wind will be weaker and the daily temperatures will rise.
