Is Unni Mukundan Ayyappan? Malikappuram trailer has been released
The trailer for Malikappuram directed by newcomer Vishnu Sasishankar starring Unni Mukundan has been released. The story of the film follows eight year old Kalyani’s wish to go to Sabarimala and meet Ayyappan.
Child actor Devananda plays the lead character in the film. After watching the trailer, it seems that Unni Mukundan is playing the role of Ayyappan in the film. Ayyappan is a child superhero named Kalyani in the film.
Along with the trailer, he wrote on Facebook that Malikappuram is not just a movie for him but a mission. ‘Malikappuram for me is not only a film but also an assignment.
It is considered a blessing that the film hits theaters during this Mandal period. Malikappuram is my dedication to the crores of Ayyappa devotees.
I think everyone who loves me will encourage me to watch the film in the cinema rather than support them with words,” wrote the actor on Facebook.
The film is jointly produced by Anton Joseph’s An Mega Media and Venu Kunnapilli’s Kavya Film Company. Vishnu Sasishankar is the son of director Sasishankar who made films like Narayam, Kunhikoonan and Mr. Butler.
The film is edited by Vishnu. Written by Abhilash Pillai. This is a screenplay by Abhilash Pillai after Patham Valav, Night Drive and Kadavar.
Apart from Unnimukundan, Indrans, Manoj K Jayan, Saiju Kurup, Ramesh Pisharati, Sampath Ram, Sreepath, Devananda and Alfie Panjikaran also play lead roles in the film.
The film is produced by Priya Venu and Neeta Pinto. Cinematography by Vishnu Narayanan, Music and Score by Ranjin Raj, Lyrics by Santhosh Verma.
