MADRID – Before you read on, this RV/RV comes from China and is sold through an Alibaba or the producer’s website. There are very few copies and the chance that you can buy one and then legally drive around in Europe is small. Still, we thought it was nice to report because this tuktuk-like mini alcove camper has a cost of only 4,500 euros. He has been given the name Xinge RV.
Would you be able and dare to drive in it? Do you think you will sleep comfortably? The tuk-tuk camper Xinge RV is for sale in China, where else, and has a cost of 4,500 euros converted. The camper is fully equipped: it has a kitchenette without the possibility to cook, but with running water and a sink, there is a shower and the sofa can be transformed into a double bed. There is also a mini fridge, TV and air conditioning.
Of alcove-like camper van (Capuchino in Spanish) stands as befits a tuk-tuk on three wheels and is almost three and a half meters long. Despite its small size, this camper has quite a bit of space inside, thanks in part to the alcove, which gives you extra storage space above the driver and co-driver.
It is also an electric model, so you do not have to fill up with petrol or diesel. The Xinge RV has a battery of only 7.2 kWh, which means that this model with a weight of 600 kilos cannot get very far. A journey from the Netherlands or Belgium to Spain will take a long time with this battery and a maximum speed of 45 km/h.
The Xinge RV can be purchased directly from the manufacturer via THIS ONE website (although it is not listed on the website) or via websites such as Alibaba where few copies can be found. Suppose you can tuk-tuk one up after all, then the question is whether you can drive it in Europe.

I want to buy this $4,900 RV from China with three wheels and an electric drivetrain: a thread (with videos!) (and photos!)
The salesman just sent me all these photos and videos, and I can’t get over this crazy thing.

And one more tour of the interior.
That’s it! Time to figure out how I’m going to convince the cops to let me drive this on city streets 🙂

The cockpit. I wonder what that red lever does.

The sofa / bed. That’s the driver’s seat back, floating up front. It swings out of the way to make more room to stretch out.

I assume that’s an air conditioner or a really hardcore humidifier near the front. Dig the 9″ flatscreen TV for movie nights.

Another view from the living space, looking forward towards the cockpit. I’d replace that blue privacy curtain with one that had some space scenes on it, for the full Millennium Falcon effect.

…a shower!
You find me another three wheeled vehicle with a top speed of 20 mph that you can take a shower in. Go on.

The sink / shower combo. Please do not leave the refrigerator plugged in when showering with it.
