If this were a foldable smartphone and not a tablet, it could be the largest foldable phone we’ve ever seen, at least in its current state, apparently bigger even than the iPad mini. The device also doesn’t look similar to a patent smartphone fold Xiaomi in circulation in October. The latest patent shows that the foldable phone is more similar to the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 2 and the Huawei Mate X.

The device in the image is definitely not the end product, with rather large bezels and folds, and most notably, no front camera. The latter in particular could be due to the prototype status of the device, or, in all likelihood, Xiaomi has implemented the technology camera selfie below the screen into a seemingly plastic screen. On the left side of the device is a slot that resembles a holder stylus.
