Is there an opportunity for dialogue that brings peace?

A year has passed since the Russian-Ukrainian war, and the future of this conflict is still vague, and its effects affect the peace and stability of most countries of the world, in terms of the difficulty of obtaining energy and food sources from these two countries, especially if we know that their production of grain represents two-thirds of the needs of the countries of the world. . This was not the only impact of that war, as it forced about 5.91 million people, equivalent to 65% of the population, to internal displacement, while more than 7.9 million people fled their homes to neighboring European countries, and countries such as America, Canada and others.
The current scene represents an aspect of what the American thinker Samuel Huntington spoke about the conflict of nations and the related decisions, adoption of alliances, knowledge of opportunities, limitations and bloody borders. And while Russia wants to preserve the Slavic Orthodox civilization – of which Ukraine is a part – even by force of war, the Euro-American West seeks to besiege Russia and prevent its expansion outside its borders, and thus stands in front of President Putin’s dreams.
When Russia began its military operations in Ukraine, and after Kiev – with the help of the West – launched its counterattack, and between hit and run, there is no doubt that the two conflicting parties are preparing for a confrontation – perhaps the most violent – after the strengthening of armaments in Ukraine, and Russia’s planning for a large-scale attack at the beginning of next spring on The maximum estimate, as mentioned by some reports, opens the door to speculation about the future of this conflict, which will determine the shape of the new world order.
On the other hand, Washington has not moved away from the scene since before the start of the war. Rather, its presence in it continued and emerged strongly with the arrival of US President Biden to Kiev and during which he said (Kiev is steadfast, Ukraine is steadfast, and democracy is steadfast), repeating with that – and in another form – what President Kennedy once said. (I am a Berliner) when he visited West Berlin in 1963, as if he was indicating that the Second World War was in favor of the Western camp.
And the world – absolutely – did not need to see President Biden in Ukraine in order to make sure that Washington wants to drain Russia and inflict the maximum possible harm on it, as it represents a sworn enemy of the United States since the middle of the last century.

On the other hand, in this context, it is possible to understand Putin’s speech on the occasion of the one year anniversary of the war, in which he referred to the West’s bet on isolating Russia, by refuting the results of European sanctions on Moscow, which – according to his speech – raised the global inflation rate, while its impact on Russia is 2.1% only.
in light of what is happening; To date, the two sides of the Russian-Ukrainian war have not achieved any qualitative progress for one side over the other, especially since the two countries’ arsenals of weapons and ammunition are running out.
However, perhaps the Chinese initiative to settle the conflict will serve as a lifeline for everyone, and Ukrainian President Zelensky did well in welcoming the initiative, considering China’s efforts to establish peace as an important step.
The time has come to hold dialogue sessions to establish peace and stability in the two countries in the first place and to put an end to the suffering of the Ukrainian and Russian peoples, and secondly for the peoples of the world who were affected by that war of attrition. Economic stagnation is the characteristic of this dangerous and critical phase, not only for the European continent, but for all countries that have been affected economically and politically, and who knows what will happen to the world if the war devours its children and the children of others.
