Bomber Real Madrid Karim Benzema was speculated to be at odds with a former teammate, Cristiano Ronaldo. Benzema firmly denied that assumption.
Benzema worked together for nine successful seasons with Ronaldo at Madrid. Both help The real won 15 titles, including two LaLiga titles and four Champions Leagues.
The French football star has only become more popular after Ronaldo left for Juventus in the summer of 2018. Benzema has managed to score a total of 101 goals in the last three seasons to bring The whites lifted two LaLiga trophies and once the Champions League.
Speculation about Benzema’s relationship with Ronaldo began when the Portuguese football superstar visited Real Madrid in Riyadh in connection with the match Spanish Super Cup. Ronaldo, who now plays for Al Nassr, was photographed chatting with several Madrid players but there is no photo of him with Benzema.
However, Karim Benzema dismissed the wild speculation about his relationship with the owner of the five Ballon d’Or. Benzema friendship and Ronaldo no need for any proof.
“We don’t need to take pictures to say we are friends, the pictures are for Instagram or Twitter and it’s another world,” Benzema said as quoted by Marca.
“We didn’t have time to greet each other because I was training and he was training right away. Hopefully I can meet him at the stadium tomorrow and be able to talk to him for a while.”
Karim Benzema himself has scored 11 goals in 16 appearances for Real Madrid throughout 2022/2023. Benzema scored one goal against Barcelona in the Spanish Super Cup final but was unable to save Madrid after losing 1-3.
