New Delhi. On the statement made regarding caste enumeration at the recently concluded Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) meeting in Palakkad, Kerala, the Congress leader said that the Sangh seems to be worried. Some people feel that because of the way in which Congress MP Rahul Gandhi raised his voice regarding caste census, the Sangh has been able to take a soft view on this issue. In fact, in the three-day All India Coordination meeting of the RSS, the Sangh has announced that they will do a caste census and the Congress leaders are announcing their victory.
In this regard, Gurdeep Singh Sappal said in an exclusive conversation with IANS, “Rahul Gandhi has raised the issue of the census, the RSS has given its statement in case the public support it is get on The Congress leader said, “RSS changed its statement twice a day. At first he said that he did not support caste census, then he gave a vague answer. In this regard, Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge demanded that RSS should state whether it is in favor of caste census or not, but there was no response from the Sangh on this.
Gurdeep Singh Sappal also said that what the RSS said at his meeting was that some of the castes, which are backward and Dalit, just wanted to count them, but the demand of the Congress is very clear. “Congress does not want to count some feet, but it wants to count all castes. “
The Congress leader said that the Congress party wants a caste account for power. The Congress Party talks about caste census so that those people who have been left behind are identified and given their rights.
The Congress leader joked and said that this is the same RSS, which has hundreds of organizations formed on the basis of castes. When BJP issues election tickets, it does so on the basis of castes. When they make ministers, they talk about castes, but they are not ready for caste census.
