The mask is back to school in 39 departments. Will this really help stop the progression of the virus?

As the All Saints’ Day holidays come to an end, the mask is back to school in 39 departments.
Return of the mask to school: “Not yet compulsory in the courtyard”
Is this return of the mask to schools likely to be complicated to apply? “The children no longer wore the mask before the holidays, recalls Sylvie Loire, director of the Lamothe-Capdeville school (Tarn-et-Garonne). It won’t be very complicated because the parents at the school are very understanding. Even so, if a few forget the mask this morning, we have some reservations. We will accept the omissions for a few days. Afterwards, we will have to comply with the rule. “
Should the mask be worn in class and outdoors? “No, for now it’s only in the classroom, considers the school principal. In the courtyard, during the extracurricular time, the meridian time, the mask is not compulsory for the moment. If it is to gain momentum again, it certainly will. “
Return of the mask to school: “We were starting to see the end of the tunnel”
“We have a fairly strict protocol in our school: as soon as they arrive or leave, they have hydroalcoholic gel, details Sylvie Loire. In the classes, it is compulsory to wash your hands before returning home. The contact points are disinfected three times a day. No mixing, staggered recreations… We are doing everything to eradicate the virus. “
What about the workload and the effect on the morale of students and teachers? “For me it has an effect on morale, confirms the director of the Lamothe-Capdeville school. We were starting to see the end of the tunnel, and the incidence rate is going up. I am not convinced that wearing the mask will stop the spread of the virus. You can’t avoid it. And if there is a case in a class, it has to close and the parents have to keep the children at home. If only for that, we must continue to be vigilant.
