Is the Italian Prime Minister in Trouble? Assessing Meloni’s Nervousness on Otto e mezzo

A sparkling moment during the June 30 episode of Otto e mezzo, the La7 talk show hosted by Lilli Gruber. The starting point comes from a series of considerations by Andrea Scanzi, journalist of Il Fatto Quotidiano, who sees a certain nervousness in the utterances of the Prime Minister and leader of the Brothers of Italy: “I feel a much less strong and much more nervous Meloni, it seems to me that in the last few weeks he has been particularly in difficulty. You do not mean that the government will fall, which for me will last 5 years ”.

The word goes back to Gruber again, who asks another guest, Mauro Mazza, but takes a pebble off his shoe against Scanzi: “There is a Meloni in more difficulty than we were seeing in these days and in these hours? Are you as nervous as Scanzi says? It being understood that probably we would not say of a male Prime Minister that you are nervous if you are in trouble, instead women must be nervous and moody. But that’s a small side note.”
