HPV vaccine to prevent cervical cancer
GridHealth.id – Data shows almost 99 percent of cases cervical cancer caused by the Human Papillomavirus (HPV).
It was displayed by World Health Organization. Cervical Cancer Awareness Month 2023.
This World Cervical Cancer Awareness Month also encourages several health institutions to educate the public about it cancer cervix and HPV.
Because it seems that HPV itself can be prevented by vaccination which can be obtained through health facilities.
The vaccine is useful for protecting the cervix from various infections so that there are no cells cervical cancer which spread violently.
In general, there are two ways how the HPV can enter the cervix, namely by having sex with someone who has been infected, or skin to skin (oral sex) with infected people.

So it’s no wonder that the movement for the HPV vaccine is increasingly being announced so that the body has strong antibodies to fight the virus.
Then many questions arise about this vaccination, one of which is whether people who have had sex can still benefit from the vaccine?
The answer is yes. Effectiveness of the HPV vaccine remains the same in people who have had intercourse.
This was explained by Prof. Dr. dr. Yudi M Hidayat, Sp.OG., Subsp. Onk., D.MAS., M.Kes, Professor Consultant Gynecological Oncologist & Chairman of the Indonesian Obstetrics and Gynecology Association (POGI) in the #Ngobrolin HPV event organized by MSD Indonesia and the Ministry of Health on Tuesday (31/1/23).
