Is the Australian Open in danger?

The Australian media The Age reports that the Australian Open has a problem, just over a month after its start: the owners of 36 apartments at the Westin Melbourne Hotel, where the quarantine of the players has been agreed, refuse to receive them.

Some of the owners reside there and believe that the arrival of players from all over the world represents an unacceptable risk to them and the community. Apparently, the hotel managers did not ask the owners for permission.

Given this situation, a last minute request to the Supreme Court is being evaluated. It is worth remembering that the Australian Open starts on February 8 but players must arrive in Australia on January 15.
