Tomáš Suslov believes in the starting line-up and is already preparing for the first national team goal
Healthy and confident football is not afraid to compete in one-on-one fights, which is a huge currency in today’s football. In addition, he can play in both counties and in the middle of the field, so the coach has more alternatives to use it. We talked to FC Groningen after arriving in Malta.
After the match with Slovenia (2: 2), the experts rated your performance highly. Together with David Strelc, you brought a revival to the playing field as young rifles. Did you also feel good about your game?
“I think I had good moments, I just regret the result, because we did not bring the meeting to a victorious end. If we won, I would definitely be happier. ”
During the 20-minute stay on the court, you tried to find your teammates, either by passes or centered balls. After one corner, however, you had the opportunity to finish yourself. You had the ground ball inside the sixteen on the left side, but instead of the first shot, you let it go, but there was no one with your teammates. Would you deal with it differently now?
“Yes. I looked back at this situation and preferred to fire from the first touch. I thought that someone would stand behind me and would be in an even better position. Before the standard, Ondro Duda and I agreed that I would run away from him and he found me exactly. It wasn’t rehearsed, we just agreed spontaneously and tried it. It was a good opportunity to end. ”
We caught up with the opponent twice, but in the end we were close to a winning turn.
“We were, I believe … a pity for the second collected goal, when we played in a large advantage. If not, we would definitely have won the match. ”
“I think that David Strelec and Tomáš Suslov asked for a chance with this performance.” Did you register these words of national team coach Štefan Tarkovič?
“Did Coach Tarkovich say that?”

“I definitely believe that I will play from the beginning of the match, but the decision whether this will happen is entirely up to coach Tarkovich. Even if I didn’t start in the basic line-up, but only during the meeting, I will try to help the boys and give the best possible performance. ”
Today you could start the ninth national team match. Has the right time come for the premier national team goal?
“I’m already going to score a goal in the national team. I hope it comes soon. Ideal, just in Malta. ”
