It all depends on what a good game is for you. It’s not an RPG. It’s not Elden Ring either. It’s an action adventure with rudimentary RPG elements. It offers a lot of varied gameplay, but with little depth. A little bit. But you shouldn’t expect too much. You can see that Ubisoft is involved. But they managed to do without the annoying Ubisoft ideas.
The most interesting thing for me is the syndicate system. It influences which areas you can enter, how and where. And therefore also how you can develop your character.
The open world feels very alive to me. The gangs also fight each other. It’s easy to get into a shootout or steal things while they’re busy shooting. The level design is pleasant. There’s a lot to explore but you never feel lost.
In terms of Star Wars, it does everything right. I also think the music is really good. I like the humor too. If you’re a SW fan – especially of this era and this theme – you could get addicted to it. However, there are technical problems now and then. And the AI is sometimes so, sometimes so. But there are more than enough tasks that expect a certain gameplay from you or where you can try things out. Shooting, grenades, sneaking, hitting, distracting, stealing, on a speeder, without a speeder.
So if you just want to experience Star Wars with a lot of variety, you won’t be disappointed. But if you’re expecting the next Elden Ring, you’re definitely wrong.
