Is phosphine gas found on Venus an indicator of extraterrestrial life? New theory from scientists

Today, Venus is home to intense heat, overwhelming atmospheric pressure and corrosive acid clouds. Because clouds are so acidic, it is also predicted that phosphine will dissipate very quickly and therefore must be constantly replenished.

As part of the new research, Professor Lunine and colleague Ngoc Truong analyzed data from the six millimeter wavelength James Clerk Maxwell Telescope and the Atacama Telescope (ALMA) in Chile, atop Mauna Kea in Hawaii.
