Is Pfizer vaccine effective against transmission of the virus?

The antidote developed by Pfizer would reduce the transmission of Covid-19 by 89.4%, according to a study conducted jointly by the American laboratory and the Israeli Ministry of Health. Good news for the UK, which has ordered nearly 40 million doses of vaccine from the company and immunized more than 7.5 million people with the serum.

According to Michal Linal, professor of molecular biology at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, these data “mean that not only the vaccinated person is protected, but that the inoculation also protects their environment”.

The results of the study must now be confirmed by publication in a scientific journal, so that researchers can read them and verify the information in detail.
