So how is the halal status of Mixue?

Through its official Instagram account, Mixue Indonesia admits that the company does not yet have a halal certificate. However, Mixue stressed that this does not mean that the company’s current ice cream and drinks contain haram ingredients. This is because management is still in the process of obtaining certification from the relevant authority.

“It should be noted that not having a halal certificate is not the same as not being halal. Spreading information that Mixue is not halal is an act we consider irresponsible and very unfortunate,” Mixue’s question quoted by CNBC Indonesia said on Saturday (31 /12/2022).

“We hope this clarification can answer the concerns and questions of Mixue customers so as to minimize the consequences of irresponsible actions by spreading inaccurate information.”

The following is a full explanation from Mixue Indonesia:

1. Currently, it is true that Mixue does not have a halal certificate yet.

2. The process of obtaining a Halal Mixue certificate is currently underway with the Chinese authorities.

3. Mixue products have passed the BPOM and received an import certificate

4. Mixed raw material products are not required to register a distribution permit, because they are not food in retail packaging.
