Maximilian Wöber has had a rapid career so far. From SK Rapid Vienna it went first to Ajax Amsterdam to finally land in Spain at FC Sevilla. Last summer, the all-round defender moved back home, RB Salzburg reportedly put almost 12 million euros on the table for Wöber.
But after just one year and 23 competitive games, the time for the 22-year-old in Salzburg could be over again. As the French medium footmercato reports, Wöber is on the memo from Olympique Lyon. There he is considered the ideal successor to Marcelo, whose contract ends in 2021, but rumors rumored that he could soon leave the club.
Wöber would be the second defender to move directly from RB Salzburg to France, Duje Caleta-Car did so in 2018 when he was transferred to Olympique Marseille.
