KIM Kardashian shocked fans when she initially announced that she would be taking a non-traditional route to becoming a lawyer.
On Saturday, March 26, 2022, Kim shared a picture of boyfriend Pete Davidson’s new tattoo that read “MY GIRL IS A LAWYER.”
Is Kim Kardashian a lawyer?
While Kim Kardashian has yet to officially become a lawyer, the reality star passed the baby bar exam in December 2021.
After taking to Instagram to make the announcement, Kim revealed that she had failed the baby bar multiple times before finally passing.
“For anyone who doesn’t know my path through law school, please know this was not easy or handed to me,” Kim wrote at the time.
“I failed this exam 3 times in 2 years, but I got up each time and studied harder and tried again until I made it!”
Her post continued, “I know my dad would be so proud and would actually be so surprised to learn that this is my path now but he would have been my best study partner.”
Kim first revealed her plans to become a lawyer in 2019, following in her late father’s footsteps.
Robert Kardashian was an attorney best known for representing OJ Simpson during his murder trial in the 1990s.
What is the baby bar exam?
The state of California introduced a mandatory exam that first-year law students attending non-accredited schools must pass in order to continue their studies.
The Baby Bar is a one-day, seven-hour exam made up of four essays and 100 multiple-choice questions in contracts, criminal law, and tort law.
On an 800-point scale, test takers must earn a minimum score of 560, an accuracy rate of 70%, to pass.
Currently, California is the only state that uses this system.
California also offers a path to passing the bar without attending law school by “reading the law” or learning from a practicing attorney or judge.
