“Is Joko or Klaas richer?”: The broadcaster demands an answer in the show

Is Joko or Klaas richer? Many fans of the ProSieben duo have probably asked themselves this question at least once. In the latest and penultimate episode of the eighth season of “Who is stealing my show?” on Sunday evening, Joko Winterscheidt (45) is even asked by the broadcaster itself to solve the account balance puzzle. Then the moderator gets into trouble…

In any case, paying with no money in the world is the winning side of the show. Only Tommi Schmitt (35) has managed to defeat Joko Winterscheidt this season and take over the ProSieben format as presenter. Kurt Krömer (49) and Nina Chuba (25) finally want to achieve this, as they fight with Tommi Schmitt and the non-prominent wildcard participant Robert for the show that Joko has just recaptured. Of course, as usual in completely crazy quiz games, in which the moderator himself has to answer an unpleasant question.

Nina Chuba embarrassed: “I never wanted to say it on a show like this”

“That’s all the 6th grade knowledge we have prepared for you here today. Because we believe that’s exactly what you can do,” Joko Winterscheidt teases the challenger quartet right at the start. And speaking of a trip into the past: When Wildcard tells Robert that he likes to organize “Dungeons & Dragons” role-playing games in his free time, Nina Chuba thinks of an anecdote from her childhood. The singer once hunted fairies and elves in the forest…

“May I ask where they hunt them?” Is there such a season?” Joko wants to know. “No, but there are certain things you can do to attract fairies and elves. For example: You put a glass of milk with honey in the forest,” explains Nina and remembers that once the next day there was a book about elves and fairies in there. It was ultimately her mother, but the “Wildberry Lillet” interpreter “believed for a long time that it was really an elf.”

The game “Get in touch with the search” no longer has much to do with elves and fairies… Real Google search engine suggestions are shown here, in which a specific term that has to be guessed has always been removed. “Why is my … so big”, “Is it … a bone” and “Does my … grow during puberty” are initially shown as clues, then Nina Chuba buzzes and utters an embarrassed “penis” as a supposed one solution over the lips. “I never wanted to say that word on a show like this,” she is ashamed of her answer – but it gets even worse.

Because the answer is wrong, the Adam’s apple was sought instead. We continue with the following incomplete Google search entries: “Has… a truck”, “… hedgehog ambassador” and “Why can… Dutch”. But this is where the musician can now shine. “Joko, you are a hedgehog ambassador,” she finds the right answer in the moderator himself. When the further information is shown for completeness, things suddenly become unpleasant for Joko.

Joko Winterscheidt: “This is really the most impressive moment in the history of this show”

“Is Joko or Klaas richer” turns out to be one of the most common search queries on Google about the moderator. “A very good question, the last one,” says Tommi Schmitt – ProSieben also steps in and pushes for the solution: “Joko, we have to be very precise about this. The question of whether you or Klaas is richer has not yet been answered.”

Joko continues to keep a low profile. “I could also have said: Klaas has more Porsches than me. But that would be dubious,” is all he can say in distress and adds jokingly: “I can only say that because he’s not here. Because he would kill me if I said on TV that he drove a Porsche.”

Joko is finally able to distract from the topic when he wants wildcard Robert to demonstrate a special talent. The aspiring chemistry and politics teacher can burp the alphabet. “This is really the most impressive moment in the history of this show,” notes Joko and adds after the successful demonstration: “Robert from Heidelberg, soon to be a teacher at her children’s school.” The burping talent received a standing ovation from there Audience definitely deserves it.

Meanwhile, Kurt Krömer provides slapstick interludes: If the solution has to be written down, he buzzes, if there is a buzz, he wants to write down the answer – so the comedian is the first to say goodbye. When it comes to the game “It’s going in the can”, the remaining stars also have a really hard time. They should each communicate with one person in the audience using a can telephone. It becomes clear that it’s not that easy when a fan wants to understand “P..mmel” by Tommi Schmitt. At the last second he hears “ski jumping” correctly and brings the podcaster’s point home.

Joko Winterscheidt forces ProSieben to intervene again with a strange glitch

In “The Answer is the Bringer (XXL)” another part of the body comes into focus – and to Joko’s surprise, it is placed on his desk. Because in this game, the candidates have to bring the solution to the moderator in physical form. So when a “bulb” is being searched for, Robert actually finds a fan with a light bulb tattoo on his arm and places it in front of Joko. “How bizarre is that?” the showmaster can hardly believe it. “I’m a lighting technician,” the man justifies the unusual motif on his skin – and with this, another point lights up for Robert.

However, this game cannot survive without the intervention of ProSieben producer Thomas Schmitt. Because it seems to be gradually becoming a running gag this season that the moderator reads out the answer to a question. “Because I knew it,” says Joko, explaining his strange glitch. “Point for Joko, new question,” comments Thomas Schmitt cynically and adds: “We are not angry, we are disappointed.”

But then there is a premiere: For the first time in the eighth season, Nina Chuba can make it to the final. “I’m scared,” admits the singer after she scored more points than Kurt Krömer, Tommi Schmitt and Robert. However, your nervousness quickly gives way to concentration. As she writes down his answers, she examines Joko very closely – so closely that she catches him bluffing several times.

Nina Chuba wins the one-on-one knowledge duel against Joko Winterscheidt and is therefore allowed to moderate the last show of the season. On Sunday, October 13th at 8:15 p.m. on ProSieben it will be: “Who will steal the show from Nina Chuba?” (tch)
