INDOZONE.ID – Alzheimer’s disease or dementia caused by the buildup of two types of proteins, namely amyloid protein and tau, which clump together in the brain.
These usually form in structures on the sides of organs before spreading to other areas, blocking communication between brain cells. This causes people to become forgetful and confused.
Reported express.co.uka sleep expert said that sleep positioning can reduce the risk of this protein buildup by facilitating waste disposal.

We all know that sleep is very important to make our body healthy, including the prevention of Alzheimer’s because it facilitates the removal of waste from the brain.
Many studies have investigated the effects of various sleep duration in this process, suggesting that seven or eight hours of sleep is sufficient time to drain waste.
But, according to other studies, the position we choose to sleep also has an effect on reducing dementia.
“For the average person, side sleeping is generally considered the healthiest sleeping position,” says Narwan Amini, sleep expert from Everynight.
“Sleeping on your side has been found to be the most beneficial position for your brain, with the position helping your brain to clear interstitial waste more quickly than other positions,” he adds.
Sleeping on your side is also claimed to have many benefits, including reducing the tide of neurological diseases such as Parkinson’s and Alzheimer’s disease.
