KOMPAS.com- NASA rumored to be sending nude photos of humans into space to attract attention alien. Is that true?
Reported from SnopesSaturday (14/5/2022) a NASA spokesman said that the idea of sending nude photos of humans into space was a thought experiment written by two NASA scientists, but not under the direction of the US space agency.
The study’s two authors were Jonathan Jiang and Kristen Fehy who were both employed by NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory (JPL).
Both are known to contribute to several NASA studies as some of the work intersects with their area of expertise, but this experiment of submitting nude photos of humans is not a task NASA commissioned.
Jiang, who was involved in the study, explained that the experiment of sending naked human images into space was carried out with the initial hypothesis that we need to send a message to the potential for alien life beyond human life on planet Earth.

Behind the experiment NASA will send photos of naked humans to space To attract the attention of these aliens, scientists believe that the potential for alien life that we are familiar with as aliens, may exist somewhere in the Milky Way galaxy.
For that, Jiang said, this study actually presents scientific ideas and concepts that aim to be a means of communication that might be of interest to alien life, if it exists.
“So, this is one of the main motivations why we published this (experimental study). We want to publish this in open literature so that everyone can see it. The aim is to encourage discussion and bring awareness to people that we are citizens of the earth, and we share the same fate,” he explained.
“We don’t know if we are alone in the universe. Or why we don’t know. But this study, this concept, will provoke people’s thoughts,” he added.
In addition, it is targeted when alien life in outer space finds this image or photo of a naked human, and realizes that this is a message from humans on Earth, then this will become a “universal communication tool”.
