Although the images do not offer the correct angle to confirm that it really is this model, it is true that it presents some details that tip the balance on this side, which it will be a real revolution, really what is expected too.
We know that the Ford Mondeo 2022 will completely transform, abandoning the concept of the traditional saloon and family car and betting on a more modern format, that of a crossover. A change as radical as it is difficult to believe what is shown in these spy photos, starting with a completely new front, in which the grill takes on even more prominence than it already had, and in line with that of the new Ford Equator 2021, a seven-seater SUV for China.

The images also reveal some much more ragged headlights, reduced to a minimum, next to a very high bumper and with very clean lines. The result is a very modern and sophisticated design, while sporty at the front. And, although we do not have a more precise view of the side, which has door handles integrated into the panels, the roof bars confirm that it really is a crossover.
A more than advanced prototype that also demonstrates uA very sporty silhouette, with a roofline that extends and decays with a pronounced curvature at the rear, ending in a sloping tailgate. The yellow tape also gives away the shape of the glazed surface that reaches to the rear pillar. At the rear, the design suggests that drivers, for the first time, will not modernize the fifth door.
If the exterior makeover is surprising, the interior one is a complete revolution, with no possible comparisons. An avant-garde dashboard with a large display that extends from the instrument cluster to the passenger, reducing the size of the console practically only for the ventilation nozzles. The transmission tunnel is also new, now with a round selector. A completely new design for the new generation of the Mondeo that will debut in late 2021, although will go on sale in 2022.
