As circulating on social media Instagram where there are incidents about humans being able to fly if they are on the moon of Saturn

NASA engineer Janelle Wellons claims Titan, Saturn’s largest moon, could be home to humans. Wellon shared this on Reddits recently.

Titan, he said, has 14 percent Earth’s gravity. So it will feel very different from Earth. But its thick atmosphere would make life easier than the thin air of Mars or the Moon.

“Titan is Saturn’s largest moon, bigger than the planet Mercury, so I think we can settle for a lot of space. So dense that we can literally stick wings in our hands and fly this month,” he wrote.

Titan is the only place other than Earth known to have liquid lakes and oceans on its surface. “This liquid is made of methane, but armed with proper protective gear, one could theoretically swim without injuring oneself.”

These Titan traits explain why Wellons believes Titan is habitable for humans, but there are also some aspects that are less interesting to him. For example, Titan because of its distance from the Sun, has an average temperature of -179C.

It took years to get there, where astronauts had to tolerate radioactive waves from the Sun, microgravity, and a lot of stress. Nonetheless, Titan appears to be a popular future destination among scientists, with astrophysicist Brian Cox also feeling optimistic about the possibility.
