As reported by Antara, leisurely walks are not suitable for obese people because it triggers other diseases, namely joints. Due to excessive body weight, if you walk too long the knee joints are prone to pain.

“It’s okay to take a leisurely walk for 1 hour, including moderate-intensity exercise. If you’re already tired and running out of breath, it’s a heavy category,” said Nutritionist, Dr. Elfina Rachmi, MGizi, SpGK.

He added that a leisurely walk is a moderate intensity exercise, if it is done for 1 hour. With that, he suggested choosing sports according to body weight, if obesity is recommended cycling.

Then, a leisurely walk for people who are used to it is certainly not a problem to do with a rather long intensity (1 hour). Because it can burn fat, and if the body is tired or out of breath, you should rest.

“If there are complaints such as soreness, it is necessary to arrange or pause 15-30 minutes. For those who are obese it is not recommended to walk because it can trigger joint pain, not everyone can be the same as exercising,” explained Dr. Elfina.
