Is Antwerp doing well or not in terms of vaccination coverage? Over the past few days, we have been beaten around the ears from different camps with numbers and percentages to reinforce a point. According to Federal Minister of Health Frank Vandenbroucke (Vooruit), the vaccination rate in the city is too low, an angry Antwerp alderman for Health Care Els van Doesburg (N-VA) states that Antwerp is doing well under the circumstances. Who is right? In order to be able to see the wood for the trees, we presented the arguments and figures with which both parties are involved to biostatistician Geert Molenberghs (UHasselt/KU Leuven).
