With the beginning of the school year, many parents of schoolchildren and students have to arrange fares for their children on Jihlava buses and trolleybuses. This year, for the first time, they have the opportunity to use the e-shop of the transport company.
The e-shop started operating after several delays this June, but was not used much during the holidays. “Revenues from the e-shop for July were at the level of some 106 thousand, for August it will be only a little more,” informed at the end of August the director of the Transport Company of the city of Jihlava Radim Rovner.
However, the good news is that everything is working as it should. The customer buys a coupon online, after payment he receives a confirmation e-mail, and then all he has to do is enter the door with the driver and load the coupon onto the card at the validator.
A number of passengers do not need to pre-order at all, but this does not apply to all. “Some categories have to come to the pre-sale in order to change their profile from a student to the newly introduced category of 15-18.9 years, when they travel for 730 crowns and do not have to provide proof of their studies. Elders must show up every year with proof of their studies.” pointed out Rovner.
The transport company also expected more interest in family accounts, there were approximately forty of those with a completed pre-sale process at the end of August. “It’s amazing, on one screen you can see how much money you have on your e-wallet, when the card or coupon expires, you can set up an email alert for critical e-wallet balance,” Rovner listed everything that the e-shop enables.
And passengers have a lot to look forward to, the holiday regime ends at the beginning of September, some lines will also be strengthened compared to June, and the transport company also cleans stops and cars more often.
