Jakarta –
Viral on social media, one can see the view on the apron airport. In the apron area, you can see a black Toyota Alphard and cars Customs. The Customs car was full of goods.
This viral scene caught on camera was continued by Peter F Gontha, former Indonesian Ambassador to Poland who is now Chair of the NasDem Party Expert Council.
“What are you trying to do? A private car enters the Soetta Airport apron, drops passengers directly from the plane to Alphard’s private car, then is escorted behind him by a Customs car. My God, there’s so much stuff!” Peter highlighted on his Facebook account.
detikcom received permission from Peter F Gontha to quote his highlights, Saturday (25/3/2023). Screenshots of Peter F Gontha’s social media uploads are also viral on Twitter.
Peter heard that the Alphard was an airport service car. But he didn’t believe it. You see, the Airport service car is a Toyota Hiace. He suspected that Alphard’s car was an official’s car.
“This must be an office, look aja there is an aide wearing a white shirt with a backpack, typical of an official or his wife! Already know netizen roaming all over the archipelago, how come you still dare? Hey government! Please check! Who the heck are they,” wrote Peter.
detikcom trying to get clarification from Soekarno-Hatta Airport, Angkasa Pura II, Customs, and the Ministry of Finance.
detikcom sending requests for information via WhatsApp and telephone calls to Head of Public Relations and Customs Counseling Subdirectorate Hatta Wardhana, Head of Customs and Excise Public Relations Section Sudiro, Senior Manager of Branch Communication and Legal at Soekarno-Hatta Airport M Holik Muwardi, and Special Staff to the Minister of Finance Sri Mulyani, Yustinus Prastowo. However, order via WA and telephone from detikcom haven’t got an answer yet.
Aviation observer Alvin Lie explained to detik.com, pick-ups at the Apron may only use a vehicle that has been registered and uses a special airside number plate. If the person being picked up is a VIP or VVIP, only people who are picked up go to the VIP/VVIP room. Baggage continues through the normal route, only then is picked up by the pick-up staff.
Apron is including the sides’airside‘ or ‘air side’. Only certified and licensed persons may enter airside or special guests accompanied by airport security (avsec).
“Motorized vehicles have limited access. Those who are allowed to operate in the area airside only motorized vehicles that have been registered and have a registration number to operate in airside. The amount is limited,” Alvin Lie told detikcom.
Vehicle drivers must also have certification to drive on airside. You see, this is a dangerous area. Cars need to be equipped with radio communications so as not to endanger aircraft and aircraft not to endanger vehicles.
“There’s a risk jet blast or bursts of jet engines from planes,” said Alvin Lie.
Apart from Alvin Lie’s explanation, there are also provisions in Law Number 1 of 2009 concerning Aviation. In Article 435 it is explained:
“Anyone who illegally enters an aircraft, the restricted security area of the airport, or the aeronautical facility area as referred to in Article 344 letter c shall be subject to imprisonment for a maximum of 1 (one) year or a fine of a maximum of Rp. 500,000,000.” 00 (five hundred million rupiah).”
