Is it a mobile or an e-book reader? Hisense A7 5G, a very peculiar mobile | Technology

The latest from Hisense is a mobile with 5G and an electronic ink screen. It is not the only model that Hisense has launched, since in early 2020 it introduced a similar model to the market, but this time without 5G connectivity.

The Hisense A series is known precisely for its electronic ink screen, but now it has wanted to adapt to current needs and has launched a new model and with 5G connection.

A few months ago, the company, best known for its televisions, launched its models of mobile with electronic ink screen: Hisense A5C, A5 Pro and A5 Pro CC. In that case the mobiles had a color screen, but not now.

In the case of the Hisense A7 5G, the screen is the same as that found in electronic books on the current market. This new model has a 6.7-inch touch screen, with black and white electronic ink technology and 300 pixels per inch.

Except the screen, the rest of technical characteristics Yes, they make us think that we are facing a more or less last generation mobile but mid-range, since it has a UNISOC Tiger T7510 processor, 6 GB RAM, 128 GB ROM, headphone jack, single photo sensor on the back with LED flash, selfie camera with AI for facial unlocking, fingerprint reader on the back of the terminal, Android 10 and 4,770 mAh battery with 18 W fast charge.

Regarding the price, it is only known in yuan and in dollars. It is not known if this mobile can be purchased in Europe. The price with which it has been released in China is 1,999 yuan, which in dollars is just over 300 dollars and in euros around 253 euros.

There is another model that is the Hisense A7 5G CC, that is, it has a color screen and its price in China is 2,399 yuan. Only the color screen changes, the rest is the same.

The Hisense A7 5G will arrive in two colors, black or white. But as we say, they have not commented anything regarding the sale of these terminals in Europe.

If you thought that the world of electronic books was left in the Amazon Kindle and those cheap readers that you can find from not very well-known brands, Xiaomi has just entered the world of eBook readers through the front door.

It is undoubtedly a very peculiar mobile, since it is a mix between a 5G smartphone with a touch screen, good battery and Android software, and a perfect electronic book to read on the subway, before going to sleep, in a waiting room, etc.
