Naim Qasim, the deputy commander of the armed group Shia Hezbollah, said that Israel’s ground war in southern Lebanon had failed. The report quoted a senior US official as saying the Biden administration has lost confidence in Israel. The US government is often surprised by the activities of Israel’s military and intelligence agencies. Some moves were made without knowing or consulting the US. Israeli Prime Minister Yoav Gallant informed US Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin about the assassination of the Hezbollah leader minutes before the incident. The report continued that Israel carried out this operation without even giving time to ensure the safety of US troops deployed in the region.

Israel kills Hezbollah leader

Another Hezbollah leader was killed in a plane crash in the Lebanese capital Beirut, the Israeli military said. The army said it killed Suhail Hussain Hussaini, the head of Hezbollah’s headquarters. The army said Husseini’s death was a major blow to Hezbollah. Hussaini was heavily involved in smuggling weapons from Iran to Lebanon. The Israeli military says Husseini is responsible for budgeting and providing logistics support for major projects, including Hezbollah attacks from Syria and Lebanon. Hezbollah has not responded in this regard.
