This year the Harry Pottermovie franchise twenty years. In November 2001, the first film in the franchise was released in theaters. Ten years later, in 2011, the film franchise came to an end, even though film studio Warner Bros. then a spin-off series.
Anyway, now that the franchise is celebrating its twentieth anniversary, one would almost hope and expect that there will be another reunion. According to actor Daniel Radcliffe fans should certainly not count on that. He estimates the chance very small.
No reunion
Radcliffe cast doubt on the possibility of a reunion of the protagonists. Not because people don’t want it, but mainly because he is way too busy with other projects and that probably applies to the other cast members as well.
“Right now I’m in the Dominican Republic shooting, and then I’ll be busy until the end of this year with a lot of other projects,” said Radcliffe. “So yeah, I don’t know. I’m sure there’s going to be some kind of celebration. But are we getting together or something like that? I don’t really know. I’m sorry if that disappoints people.”
In recent months, various cast members have also spoken out about a possible ninth film, or a reboot. What Radcliffe thinks about that remains to be seen.
