Is Europe back to the chaotic days of March 2020, with closed borders, queues and quarantine hotels?

BRUSSELS (Aftenposten): Again, it has become impossible to move freely in Europe without knowing each country’s new and strict travel restrictions.

Just a few weeks ago, it seemed like the worst was over.

  • The United States lifted travel restrictions and entry bans from Europe. British Airways boss Sean Doyle said it was “a moment to celebrate”.
  • The vaccine pass accelerated the journey. Norwegians again dared to go on holiday to Spain and the south of France.
  • In August, air traffic increased by 40 percent.

But then it turned around again.

Is Europe back to the chaotic days of March 2020? With closed borders, queues, quarantine hotels and closure of society?

And do the travel restrictions that several countries are now introducing help?
