Outer Wilds (not The Outer Worlds) appeared a bit out of nowhere and undoubtedly became one of 2019’s most appreciated games; on FZ’s own This year’s game list for example, it ended up in an honorable fourth place. And now there have been some gratifying rumors regarding what could be a new DLC for the game. Internet detectives have discovered that new material related to the game has been added to Steam’s backend under the name Echoes of the Eye.
This was wired out on Twitter, and instead of denying it all, the game’s publisher Annapurna Interactive chose to retweet the find along with an eye emoji. Kelsey Beachum – one of the game’s authors – also hung out on the retweet train and added no less than four (!) Eye emojis. Something is quite clear in the making, and hopefully we do not have to wait long for a (possible) official announcement.
