The French website has written in the past that the current lodges, which have been in production since 2012, will not be given a direct successor. And now we learn that it should be replaced by a seven-seater SUV that doesn’t get diesel engines – and vice versa, a hybrid.
–
Specifically, it is supposed to be a Renault E-Tech device. The car is to stand on the extended CMF-B platform, which allows the installation of this device; it features the current clio and captur, in which we have already tested the hybrid and plug-in hybrid versions of E-Tech.
–
Whether the new dacia gets both variants is not yet clear – the French website talks about a non-charging hybrid, ie a device with a combined maximum output of 140 horsepower.

The car is not to be produced in Morocco, like the current lodges, but in Pitești, Romania, from the autumn of 2021. In addition to the hybrid, the 1.0 TCe three-cylinder and 1.3 TCe four-cylinder are on offer, as well as the LPG version. There is no mention of all-wheel drive yet, but due to the platform used, we dare to mark it as unlikely.
