I will be staying in New York with 2 people (my parents) towards the end of the month. We booked several nights in a hotel with Booking which therefore offers us a taxi transfer (JFK) to our hotel located in Midtown Manhattan (apparently this is a promotion available in certain cities from a certain amount).
I would be interested to read feedback from those who have benefited from it.
Indeed, I hesitate to use this option because Booking asks us to indicate the number of our flight and indicates that the driver will wait for us up to 45 minutes after landing, which is very little given the passage to the customs (I remember having taken a good 2 hours to leave the airport when I went there the first time). I have also read on English-speaking forums that there are risks of no-shows on the part of the drivers, who would shun the journeys to and from the airport.
In short, all this makes me want not to rack my brains, not to stress out at the airport by going to the taxi and taking the metro quietly (which could even be a nice first glimpse for my companions who have never been to New York, in this case my parents to whom I offer the trip). On the other hand, I tell myself that it may be a promotion not to be missed (easier with luggage, it will be in the evening).
