Is Bayern vs. Leverkusen on free TV today?

The top game in the Bundesliga takes place on Saturday evening when FC Bayern hosts the German champions. You can find out whether you can watch the game on free TV here.

The Bundesliga is dressing up: the absolute top game takes place on matchday 5 when the two best teams in the republic, Bayern Munich and Bayer Leverkusen, meet. For the first time, the Werkself travel as German champions to the record champions, who, however, go into the duel as league leaders.

As luck would have it, or as far-sighted matchday planners would have it, the two teams meet in one of the few weeks in which there is no travel and European Cup stress. Both FC Bayern and Bayer Leverkusen are enjoying a full week of training before the exciting duel and are heading into what will hopefully be a high-class game well rested.

In any case, there is nothing to complain about in terms of shape. Although the Werkself lost a Bundesliga game for the first time in a whole season in a 3-2 defeat to RB Leipzig a few weeks ago, head coach Xabi Alonso’s team once again presented themselves shockingly confident and powerful in the impressive victories against Hoffenheim, Feyenoord and Wolfsburg.

Bayern have plowed through the season without a defeat so far, coach Vincent Kompany was able to win all of his first six competitive games with his new team. Most recently, Munich scored a whopping 20 goals in the last three games against pitiful opponents SC Freiburg, Zagreb and Werder Bremen.

Bayern vs. Leverkusen is undoubtedly THE top game on matchday 5 of the Bundesliga. You can find out here whether it will also be made available to a wide audience on free TV.

Is Bayern vs. Leverkusen on free TV today? The broadcast of the Bundesliga

The Bundesliga is primarily broadcast by two broadcasters: Sky and DAZN. The division is clearly regulated: DAZN shows the Bundesliga on Friday and Sunday. Sky presents all games on Saturday and those of the English weeks when games are played on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. Since Bayern vs. Leverkusen is scheduled for Saturday evening at 6:30 p.m., you can watch the game live and exclusively on Sky.

There is no broadcast on free TV. This is rarely the case anyway. Sat.1 is the only free TV channel to show Bundesliga games: the private broadcaster is allowed to broadcast three games per season. But they have to take place on the 1st, 17th and 18th matchdays.

Bayern vs. Leverkusen is without a doubt the highlight on matchday 5 of the Bundesliga. The first meets the second, the former series champion and record champion meets the reigning double winner. Nothing more is currently possible in the German football upper house.

On Sunday it will be the turn of the European Cup participants: Eintracht Frankfurt and TSG Hoffenheim started their adventure in the UEFA Europa League during the week and were given time to recover from the stress of traveling and playing. The SGE then faces the long journey to the far north to Holstein Kiel, Hoffenheim can play at home against Werder Bremen. You can see both games live on DAZN on Sunday!

Bayer Leverkusen basically achieved their preseason masterpiece in February. The 3-0 win against the then reigning eleven-time series champion Bayern Munich went around the world. With their goals, Stanisic, Grimaldo and Frimpong ensured the victory for the Werkself, who dominated in all respects, and five points ahead at the top of the table. And in the following 13 match days, Bayer was unstoppable.

The first leg was also a spectacle, Bayer also passed this test and scored a point in the 2-2 draw in Munich. And because the second leg of the 22/23 season was also won 2-1, FC Bayern have been waiting for a win against Bayer Leverkusen for three Bundesliga games. Munich was only able to win one of the last five matches.

The overall balance in the Bundesliga with 52 wins, 18 draws and only 20 defeats still clearly speaks for Bayern.
