F1 circuit projects have multiplied in recent weeks, without even having entered into prior discussions with Formula 1 and the FIA. This is the case of the project in London that we told you about recently, and it is also the case of another project in the United States.
A real estate project aimed at transforming a former airport in Atlantic City, a gambling city considered the little Las Vegas on the east coast, includes an F1 track in the middle of shops and housing.
It is a project of approximately 2.5 billion euros, which was approved by the city council, which voted by a large majority, on a proposal orchestrated by the developer DEEM Enterprises LLC’s Bader Field.
Contrary to the current trend, the route would be very short, with 3.92 kilometers, and it would already be studied to obtain the Grade 1 aiming to bring in Formula 1. The project would be colossal to make it a place almost advanced on the sea.
Michael Binder, who represents the developers, said the work would be to dredge the rear bays around the land and the spoil would be dumped on the land and used for elevations.
A rendering of the project at the former airport, closed in 2006, shows about 10.8 megawatts of solar panels on the roofs of condominiums and commercial spaces. Construction would take six to nine years and create between 1,200 and 1,500 permanent jobs.
