MAIN-KINZIG CIRCLE – The corona virus is on everyone’s lips again. Also at local sports facilities. Is this putting amateur football in danger again? Are there any Corona rules for clubs from the Hessian Football Association (HFV)?
Let’s look back at the past sporting events in the Main-Kinzig district. The game between SV Herolz and SV Niederzell had to be canceled last Thursday. Reason: Herolz reported eight players who tested positive.
Corona infections after the game
The weekend before last, the game between SV Herolz and TSV Weichersbach took place, which TSV won 0-1. As a result, the second game in the current Schlüchtern A-League had to be canceled due to positive corona cases. Corona infections occurred during the game.
Harald Maienschein, class leader of the Schlüchtern A-League, had the game between TSV Weichersbach and SG Sinngrund canceled due to corona. “TSV reported six players who tested positive. The game should be rescheduled and played at short notice,” said Maienschein.
Is the 2024/2025 season in danger?
The question is not unjustified. The fact is that class leader Maienschein acted as a precaution. The HFV game regulations stipulate that a game may be canceled by the class leader if he has compelling reasons. However, according to the Hessian Football Association, there are no longer any Corona regulations.
Ultimately, it is to be hoped that the two canceled games were and remain isolated cases.
