Adrián Ramos, captain of América de Cali, will once again wear the shirt of his team in Germany, Borussia Dortmund. This was announced by ‘El Capi’ in a press conference prior to América’s match against Jaguares de Córdoba in Villavicencio, next Sunday, September 8.
Ramos explained that his return to Germany was due to an invitation to play a farewell match for two emblematic Borussia players, a commitment he had accepted last year.

“I want to send a message to the fans. It had been said since last year that I had made the decision not to continue at América. Last year I accepted the invitation to play a farewell match for two teammates in Germany. That is why I will not be against Jaguares in that first match in Villavicencio, but I will arrive the following day. That does not mean that I am not in this institution, everyone has seen my commitment to América. I clarify this because there may be many comments. I hope you understand the situation. My commitment to América is 100%,” said Adrián, who has just scored his 100th goal with the Red Devils.
Adrián will be in Germany for five days, and on Monday, September 9, he will rejoin América.

“We demand respect”
At the press conference, Adrián Ramos also demanded respect from journalists towards players, after the reporter – América fan – Jorge Puerto Ladino, called Argentine player Franco Leys a “suitcase” on the program Zona Libre de Humo.
“We as a group do not accept that. There are ways of saying things and we as players have always been respectful towards journalists, regardless of whether we are in a good form or a bad moment. But we have always had respect towards you and we demand the same. Here too there is a person, a professional and he deserves respect,” said Ramos.
